Callers reach the right person the first time
A clear main menu, department extensions and overflow rules replace the “please hold while I transfer you” loop.
Business Phone
Call, route and connect from the office or anywhere your team works — with a main menu, extensions and after-hours rules you can change yourself.
3CTel Business Phone is a cloud phone system for Canadian businesses. It replaces a desk-bound PBX with a hosted system that routes calls through a main menu, extensions, ring groups and business-hours rules, and lets staff answer on desk phones, a desktop app or a mobile app. Setup is guided by a specialist, existing numbers are ported, and nothing is billed before activation.
A clear main menu, department extensions and overflow rules replace the “please hold while I transfer you” loop.
Nights, weekends and holidays follow their own rules: voicemail to email, an on-call phone or the AI receptionist.
The mobile app carries your business number, presence and transfers wherever someone is working.
Add a user, change a greeting or reroute a department from the admin portal — no site visit required.
Professional greetings, dial-by-name and department options recorded once and edited any time.
Ring a team together, in sequence, or hold callers with position announcements.
Different routing for open, closed and holiday states, with a manual override for early closures.
Every voicemail delivered as an audio file with caller details, so nothing sits unheard on a desk phone.
See who is available, on a call or in a meeting before you transfer — warm or blind.
One extension across a desk phone, a computer and a smartphone, ringing where you choose.
Record by extension, queue or on demand for training and dispute resolution.
Add direct numbers for departments or people, in any Canadian area code we can provision.
Move an aging on-premises system to the cloud without changing the number clients know.
Extend the same extensions and menu across locations with one bill and one admin portal.
Sales reps and technicians answer the business line from the mobile app; callers never see a personal cell number.
Route by department first, then to a shared front desk when nobody picks up.
When the ring group times out, the AI Receptionist answers the business number, states your hours, takes a message with a transcript or books a callback, and an AI workflow logs the call in your CRM in the approval mode you choose.
Most business phone setups follow the same path. Your current line keeps working until the switch, so there is no gap in service.
We map your menu, departments, hours and overflow rules with you — the same call flow you build in Build My Plan.
We request the transfer of your existing numbers or provision new ones. Porting timelines are set by the carriers involved and confirmed with you.
Extensions are created, desk phones ship pre-configured, and apps are installed on staff computers and phones.
You test the flow on a temporary number, then we cut the ported numbers over on the agreed date.
AI in this product
Every call on the platform can be transcribed, tagged and followed up by AI, with your rules deciding what runs on its own.
Each voicemail arrives as text with a short summary and an intent tag such as booking, billing or complaint, so staff read and prioritize instead of listening back to every message.
After a recorded call, a summary with outcome and commitments is written to the call log and, where a CRM is connected, to the contact timeline for approval or automatic filing.
A missed call can trigger an acknowledgement text, a callback in the right person's calendar or an AI Voice Agent that returns the call, according to rules you set.
Calls arrive on your published number and follow rules you set: a main menu offers choices, business-hours schedules decide whether the office or an after-hours path answers, and ring groups or queues distribute calls across a team. Unanswered calls go to voicemail delivered by email or to a backup number. The rules are managed in the admin portal and can change as the business changes.
Yes. Each user has one extension that rings on a desk phone, the desktop app and the mobile app at the same time. Remote and field staff answer the business line from a laptop or cell phone, and callers see the company number rather than a personal one. Presence and transfers work the same wherever the person is sitting.
The change is planned in stages. A 3CTel specialist maps your current numbers, greetings and routing, builds the new system and tests it on a temporary number while your existing lines keep working. Numbers are then ported on a date confirmed with you, and the switch happens once everything has been checked. Nothing is billed before activation.
